The Communication Workers Union is the union which represents you. There are in excess of 295,000 people in the CWU organised into Branches around the Country.

The CWU was created in January 1995, from a merger of the National Communication Union and the Union of Communication Workers. The CWU is the largest and fastest growing union in the communications and information technology industries.

It represents the Post Office, Girobank, Engineering, Clerical, Secretarial, Computing, Retail, Telephonists and Postal Grades in BT and over 100 other companies. These companies include Securicor, Cable & Wireless, NTL, Telewest, Orange, One2One, Vodafone, Fraziers, Typetalk and Cellnet.
